Parking on West side of bridge and bathroom facilities. Walkways on both sides of the bridge over a deep gorge. Not much shade so take your hats and water. There were locals selling all kinds of stuff out of their vehicles around the parking lot. Note the dust devil in the photos. Written July 11, 2012.

Getting to the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. From Taos, drive north on US-64W. After about 4 miles, turn left to stay on US-64W (this turn is not quite 40 miles south of the Colorado border).
