After deciding to enter Touring Car and DTM racing, BMW supported a program for the E30 BMW in 1987.

DTM mainly raced in Europe, and this is where the sport was hugely popular due to the tight, aggressive racing. Manufacturers like Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW, Alfa Romeo, Ford and others would join and battle it out on track. It resulted in legendary cars like the Mercedes-Benz 190E, or the Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI DTM and of course the BMW E30 M3.

Not only mechanically different from the standard model, the E30 M3 featured vastly restyled panels and bumpers, with only a few panels being shared with the standard car. The E30 M3 was mostly available in a Coupe body style, although a rare Convertible version was also built.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS : - Extract the folder "bmw_m3_e30_dtm_1992" in content\cars. - Copy from folder "bmw_m3_e30_dtm" all the files and folders exept "data.acd" files and "ui" folder, say yes for merge folder "sfx" then "do not copy". - In sfx folder rename "bmw_m3_e30_dtm.bank" to "bmw_m3_e30_dtm_1992.bank"
