Sesshōmaru is a great demon or Daiyokai, just like Kirinmaru. Thus, I can't help but wonder where that left arm is now.. Obviously, this is a little subjective. So, as for an objective answer to this question, I'd like two things: What is the current state of Sesshōmaru's missing arm, as far as what was shown?

Sesshomaru and his mom are also almost always in the humanoid forms. I always guessed that the humanoid form requires some minimal life energy/ demon energy to maintain which must have slowly dissipated after his death and his dead body reverted to original form. Sesshoumaru and His father look simialr to the Great Pyrenees Mountain dog, the Maremma Sheepdog, the Kuvasz, the Akbash Dog, or the Polish Tatra Sheepdog. Look up pictures of them and you will see what i mean. I think that Sesshoumaru and his father are actually similar to Youko Kurama in that they are Spirit animals.

In the Inuyasha universe, full dog demons such as Sesshomaru, Tōga, and Inuyasha's dad are shown to have the true form of a giant dog. Although it's never stated, it's implied that Inuyasha doesn't have a giant dog form because he is only half demon. Because Inuyasha can turn full demon in certain scenarios, I'm wondering if he would.

Sesshōmaru's true form is a giant white dog with markings similar to the ones he has in his human form. His eyes become red with blue irises; the yōkai marks on his body widen and become more apparent the stripes on his cheeks which are usually smooth become jagged and change into a somewhat fiercer color while his mokomoko wraps around his.

19 eerirhea • 3 yr. ago Sesshomaru's is HIS tail lol. Setsuna's mokomoko was a gift from Sessh, so it looks like he may have just cut off part of his mokomoko to give it to her. My understanding is that inu hanyo don't have them naturally because they can't transform into the giant dog, like Sessh, Toga and Sesshomaru's mom can.
