About the project. The Naga Labour Corps [NLC] was a group of companies of men from the Naga Hills in North-East India who went to France in 1917. Their contribution to the war effort included vital salvage work and road building. However, they - like much of the rest of the various Labour Corps - have since been largely forgotten in the West.
