Beaufort Castle is a castle in northern Scotland, near Beauly.It is the traditional seat of the chiefs of the Clan Fraser. The original castle was built by the Byset family. The castle sits on the site of several previous castles, including Castle Dounie, which was burned to the ground by Oliver Cromwell's forces during the Wars of the Three Kingdoms in the late 1640's and then by Government.

In the late 19th century, Simon Fraser 15th Lord Lovat founded Beaufort Castle, a Scottish baronial mansion on the site of the old castle. 14 miles north at Achterneed is Castle Leod and 14 miles south is Urquhart Castle.
