Woensdag 28 juni 2023 De Rede van Texel is een lezing door een gerenommeerde Nederlander. Dit jaar wordt de Rede van Texel voorgedragen door Commissaris van de Koning in de provincie Noord-Holland Arthur van Dijk.. Dit keer valt de lezing samen met Pre-Sail Texel (28 en 29 juni), het evenement dat in 2013 oorspronkelijk ook aan de basis.

Die steken op donderdag 29 juni het Marsdiep over om in Den Helder aanwezig te zijn bij de grote opening. Op 29 juni zijn ook alle Tallships te bekijken op de Rede van Texel.
