I have an old 1999 AIWA stereo that I have had for 14 years and prefer to keep if possible. The electronic buttons are messed up though and everything does a different function than its supposed to do, such as the play button stops a CD, and when I attempt to turn it up or down, it always turns up (can't turn down the volume).

#3 I have the ad-f770, one step above, but I expect the 660 sounds just as good. Wasn't easy to replace the belts, but I managed it. I ended up removing the entire transport from the case, though I left the wires connected. I'd be happy to share my experience if you're interested.

Hey all, I recently picked up a free AD-F640 that needed rebelting and after completion I was impressed with how it sounded. I started looking at other Aiwa decks to see how their range looked back in the day and I saw the AD-F990. Just randomly I started searching our auction site here and found, believe it or not, an AD-F990 in need of belts !

#1 I got my old Aiwa AD-F640 tape deck out of mothballs yesterday. When I moved to the United States, I carefully packed all my 240v HiFi up and brought it with me. I used a 30VA toroidal transformer with two primaries connected in series to step up from 120v to 240v.
