Coalhouse Fort on the River Thames at East Tilbury is a short distance further towards the Thames estuary from Tilbury Fort, the subject of my last post. A walk around its perimeter gives you lots of great views across the estuary with seating to sit and enjoy the surroundings. The fort itself was closed but the external structure is in excellent condition and gives a good vision of its positioning, Free.
