A cutdown is a customised scooter (usually an Italian Vespa or Lambretta) with parts of the bodywork removed or cut away. Cutdowns were popular amongst skinheads and scooterboys during the mod revival of the 1970s and 1980s.

Description. 1962 Lambretta Cut-down. Powder coated in Kawasaki Green. the scooter is newly built and will need running in. It has a brand new front disc brake. MB fork links. R1 rear damper. AF225 Rapido Race head and barrel on a large block casing. AF race crank. Italian layshaft and sliding dog. all new bearings and seals.

If the rim is rotten and will need to be replaced it is best to sacrifice it. Grind the rim off and the heads of the four screws that hold it in place. That way a good 10mm of each screw will be left exposed and again with excess heat it may be possible to remove the screws with mole grips, saving the threads.
